Calling Clarified
BAM Catalyst Weekend Experience
The vision of the Missional Enterprise work of the Navigators is a growing, global community of Christ-followers who are integrating kingdom values into the businesses they own and operate—pursuing a triple bottom line to make a profit, make disciples, and make a difference.
The movement toward that vision often involves pivotal moments in the lives of mission-minded entrepreneurs. That is why we are hosting, in partnership with Morning Star Ministry, a BAM Catalyst Weekend, May 7–9, in Florence, Kansas. This weekend experience is an extended Entrepreneurial Readiness Workshop where participants explore and discern how God might be leading them into Business as Mission (BAM).
“Courage, Faith and Wisdom”
At a weekend like this several years ago, a participant who would later serve as a missional entrepreneur in the Middle East left with a much clearer picture of God’s call on his life. Looking back, he said:
“The workshop gave me a clear picture of the challenges ahead of us – and the courage, faith, and wisdom to confront those challenges.”
While much of our Navigators Missional Enterprise ministry focuses on helping leaders live this calling out right where they are in the U.S. marketplace, this particular weekend has a more specific focus. It is designed especially for those who sense that God may be calling them to cross cultures—either launching internationally or stepping into a cross-cultural context here in the United States.
This weekend moves beyond the biblical and strategic principles of missional enterprise and into deeper, more personal questions: Could this be part of my calling? Am I ready? What would it actually take to do this well?
Practical and Personal
The time together is intentionally practical and personal. Participants spend the weekend working through their own strengths, readiness, and long-term direction. There is coaching, case studies from real enterprises, opportunities to interact with experienced practitioners, and space to think prayerfully about next steps. Past participants often say the most valuable part was the clarity they gained about their own calling and timing.
If you, or someone you know, is thinking about the possibility of launching a business cross-culturally in the next few years, this weekend is designed for you.
